Charlottechicken
I'm in the middle of clearing out unwanted clutter from both mine and mum's house, and we are now encountering items which I don't want to ebay as they are too large to post for a reasonable amount of money. I have been told about Facebay by the lady behind the counter at the Post Office, (oddly enough ) she says both her daughters have had considerable success selling things on it. Apparently, you specify postal areas and it is free to list as well. I'm not on facebook, but am considering joining to access this. It appeals to me as we have lots of good items which are no longer required but folk might want and would be happy to pay a few pounds for, and the money would be very useful. I understand a fair amount of Omleteers are on Facebook, so wondered, does anyone use Facebay and have success with it?
Cinnamon
Never heard of it, but I do use a local selling group specific for my town to sell with, with some success. Try searching for 'for sale in......(your area)' & see what come up
WitchHazel
I haven't hear of Facebay either. However, as Sarah mentioned there are lots of local Facebook groups with selling pages. I've sold quite a lot on my local groups. It's good because it's usually quick. The only downside is that people tend to want bargains. (Still, you save the 10% Ebay commission and the Paypal fees!). Ours are called things like "Buying and Selling in xx", or "xx Buying and Selling". I've also seen "xx Bumps to Teens" A quick search should help you find things. If you don't want to use Facebook for anything else, you can always have an email address which you only use for Facebook. I find that helps me manage the email notifications I get. You could also try listing on Gumtree or PreLoved?

Charlottechicken
I found this link, but as I'm not on Facebook I cannot access it properly. Facebay I also understand that a lot of the local pages are not called Facebay, just "for sale in xxx", as has been mentioned already.
