Ok so I have started the week from hell which is worming week! They are already behaving like half starved prisoners.

 

Anyway, I was wondering how best to prevent re infestation with worms/eggs as they expel them? I have a ground sanitizer which I can rake into the bedding during this week and poo pick as much as possible but when should I change the bedding for fresh? Mid-week or at the end if the week? When do you think most worms would be expelled - ie, is it a build up of product through the week and therefore most likely the end of the week would be the worst for worm loaded bedding or is it usually more of a quicker clearout than that?

 

I haven't seen any evidence of worms but I know that means nothing with chooks!

I would change it as you usually do. They may not have worms and they could get them at any time. As long as you have a good worming regime all should be fine

Yes they should be fine, I have mine on hardwood chips which last 6 months or more so I just use stalosan regularly as well as poo picking.
