StephenW Posted August 5, 2014 Share Posted August 5, 2014 Recently when feeding the chickens I have noticed small white mites crawling on my hand that I have used to touch the food. I take it I have flour mite/meal mites in my chicken food. Could somebody point me in the right direction to dealing with them please? The Dogmother Posted August 6, 2014 Share Posted August 6, 2014 Try adding some Diatom to the feed to prevent them, but I would get rid of any contaminated feed that you have, clean all feed containers and start afresh. If its a new bag I would complain to the shop, if its an old bag then put it down to experience and throw out the feed.
