Corn and sweet corn on the cob question

Recommended Posts

They will get the hang of it eventually.

How about holding it in front of them to peck while you hold it for a bit, then once they all start pecking, hang it up ?

Or you could leave it hanging and pretend to peck it with your finger so they get the idea.

I imagine it would last for a few days if they don't get the hang of it.

My husband already calls me The Mad Chicken Lady! Seeing me pretending to "peck" at a corn cob with my fingers to teach the chickens is not going to help my case!! But I'll give it a go :-). Their treats aren't normally hanging up so maybe that's confused them. If all else fails, I'll just have to pick off the kernels for them.

Do not worry, most of us are mad chicken ladies

I went to stay with my parents and phoned hubby to see how he was and of course if any eggs had been laid.

Whilst on the phone and him checking, I could hear the girls chattering down the phone and said I'd never heard them down the phone before, he then said to them 'talk to mummy' and they chatted even more :lol:

I loved it but he was worried what the neighbours would think. Stuff the neighbours I say
