Solitary chicken - need advice

Planning ahead to my walk in run. I'm thinking either a 3m x 2m Omlet one, or 6' by 9' Windsor from premier pet solutions. Once I factor in delivery, there's not much price difference. Anyone got pro's or con's? Leaning towards the Windsor at the moment because it looks nicer!

Windsor looks lovely, especially as it has a covered roof. A must as far as I am concerned, makes life so much easier in the winter, especially if you have it on concrete.

Hope you have decided, such fun making all these descisions for the little princesses. But expensive if not thought through. good luck.

I opted for a wooden WIR and I am glad I did as without the roof it would be pretty useless. If you are planning on moving house or even just moving your chickens in the garden then the Omlet would be better, but if not typical wooden WIR would be more substantial. I have a 4m cube run and house and 2m Go Up attached off mine, so they can be adapted to fit!

You're right Margaret it is very exciting! Need to try to stop talking and thinking about it ALL the time though or OH is going to divorce me before we're actually married!

Its never stops, still chicken mad after 6 years, but am more laid back about things now, bit like 2nd or 3rd child much easier stress wise as more experienced.

Still spending money and re jiging WIR all the time, useful that OH is now retired so has a chicken gym project on the go at the moment.
