Hi, does anyone know of an inexpensive place to go, up to about 4 hours away from Essex, where 2 youngsters (early twenties) can go for a short horse riding break?

Sorry Chickabee, can't help. My sisters went to a place near Ffestiniog for a week, but it was 30 years ago. It was even shown on Playschool, through one of the windows. They had a great time, but I can't find it.

Have you looked at this website? Some of them are a bit pricey. You might find something to suit though.

Funnily enough I went for a day's beach riding at Pakefield Riding School in Lowestoft yesterday. Looking at their website it seems they offer riding holidays, although there aren't many details. Might be worth phoning for a chat.
