We have just returned from a memorable weekend! Great eggs from chickens in the paddock in front of the tents - had forgotten just how YELLOW the yolks are!! My boys 10 and 6.5 loved it but sadly there were other children there who had NO idea how to treat wildlife and other children!

 

Chickens, goats and sheep were chased round the paddock and, when my ES aged 10, with Aspergers, told he offenders off he was grabbed in a headlock by the oldest child in the paddock. This did rather spoil the weekend. ES was very clear that he had told the others not to be 'mean' to the animals.

 

Both boys said that they had had a great time and would love to go back but both OH and I were appalled by the way that other families children were allowed to run riot without any rules - mainly round the back of out ten for some reason. So sad!
