Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

When I've rescued batts before I've noticed they have an odour about them that wears off after a couple of weeks. The latest lot didn't really have that... but their poo does! One or more of them makes such a stink that I actually scoop their eglu tray every day due to the fumes. They are on the same food as the others, and I'm trying a water soluble vitamin that has something to aid digestion in it (only got it yesterday so still waiting for any effect)

 

Any suggestions as to the cause, and any solutions?

it could be that they are only pooing once or twice a day a bit like a broody so it starts to 'brew' a bit in their gut

Ours were like that too but they settled down. Bokashi bran and Avipro might help.

Add garlic powder to their food (or a clove in their water) it makes poo smell far less
