I have my 3m Eglu Go run on leaf lottery Earth. Until now all has been fine but with the rain we've had over the last few days I can see that winter could be a bit too soggy. Has anyone found a way of really keeping it dry? I've seen ANHs plastic sheeting which I may try but at the moment the wet seems to get in around the bottom. Has anyone stopped this?

We have plastic pallets covered with a porous membrane and then a thick layer of woodchip. Because the pallets are slightly raised the water can't come in the bottom and any that comes in from above can drain away. We've recently added a layer of weldmesh to the bottom to stop anything digging in. It was a lot of work but worth it in the long run.

Our girls are on bare earth and we use Tarpaflex (www.tarpaflex.co.uk) clear tarpaulins held in place with ball bungees and/or cable ties. They do different sizes but we started with a 2m x 2.4m one to cover the basic 2m run we had with our Eglu Classic to start with. If you peg the sides out a bit from the sides at the bottom (tent-like) it allows drips to fall off but not drip inside the run. Now we have an Omlet WIR we have a 6m x 2m one across top and down both sides and reuse the original one to cover the back.
