Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

I am busy trying to get 3 essays finished for tomorrow evening for my course hand-in. I also have OH's mate to cook lunch for tomorrow so will be not able to get essays written the whole day.

 

I have one more set of hand ins before I get the girls. I have set the deadline for myself because I will just sit watching them and not get my work done otherwise.

 

But I am fit to burst with excitement - sad I know. I am trying to finish an essay this afternoon and can't concentrate.

Yes 15th. How sad am I? All excited like a child but it has been a long time coming.

 

I started searching for a coop in April. That arrived in June for my birthday and then Himself started to build the run. I still have to creosote the coop, get the chippings for the floor and sort out a few logs and branches for them to roost on.

 

I have 2 essays to do by midnight tomorrow and then I will get my final unit of work. I want it all finished before I get the girls else I won't actually tear myself away from them. I have much work to do with my dog and the girls, socialising and habituating them to reduce the likelihood of problems, so won't have time for writing lol

I'm excited for you. I remember collecting my chickens and introducing them to their new home. Five years later and it's all gone swimmingly. Good luck with your essays, well done with your self-discipline and have a lovely time with your ladies.

I couldn't sleep for days before I got my girls . I remember that feeling 7 years on! Good luck with the essays .

Ooo yes, very exciting! You must be very self-disciplined! Three essays in two days!! I'm a (mature) post-grad student but any spare time I have I'm usually out with the girls rather than getting work done

3/4 of an essay to go. I cooked Sunday dinner and pudding and watched some telly too. I am sure I'll still be up past midnight but hey - lie-in tomorrow!
