Jules.
Lily our Basset Hound has nails that grow like the clappers and she really dislikes having them clipped. We'd like to get her a nail file to give her lovely manicures but we've found that there are quite a few to choose from. If you use one on your dog what type do you use? We want one that's not too expensive, works really well and is easy to use. Thanks.
Bramble
I'm no help here I'm afraid, but would be very interested to hear any recommendations - sometimes I think I can actually see Willow's claws growing - she's very good and lets me cut them, but it would be better if I could keep them filed, I think! Chucky Mama
Your best bet are nail grinders (electric)
kinsk
I use a 80/100 grit nail file on my parents dog as he wets himself as soon as he sees the nail clippers. It's not an easy job though. I used to be a nail tech and so have loads of files knocking around and used to buy mine from the companies who'd products I used, but if you type 80/100 grit nail file into something like amazon there should be a variety.
