Luvachicken
I started worming the older pekin girls last week on 22nd Dec but just realised today that they are still eating the pellets with the flubenvet on. I wrote down on the calendar when they would be finished but with all the busy stuff going on I only noticed today that I should have swapped their food back and I haven't. Will I have harmed them in any way? The pellets haven't gone down much with only 3 of them eating it anyway - can I let them eat it all over the next few days ? I will be worming them all once they are all on the same food, and I thought there was an age for the younger ones to be wormed ?
jimnpaula
I let mine finish the pellets off, but usually that would only mean an extra 2 to 3 days of treatment. I'm sure it isn't doing yours any harm, just no longer necessary as the de-worming effect should have happened by now.

Mars
flubenvet is safe drug, viovet.co.uk recommends repeating the course after 3 weeks if you have known infestation. so I would keep whatever left and give it after 3 weeks preferably make it 7 day course viovet.co.uk says: Treatment frequency Birds on the ground with known worm infestations are susceptible to re-infestation. In such cases, re-treatment with another 7-day course, after 3 weeks is recommended.
Luvachicken
Thanks everyone I have worked out that the younger pekins are 19 and 23 weeks old on 3rd Jan so I might worm them all together in a couple of weeks as hopefully they should all be friends by then and be on the same pellets.
