The Pearsons
When I introduce the two new hens do you think that the broody will abandon her eggs to "sort out" the intruders? I hope not and that she will leave Chips (top chook) to put them in their places. Helen in Hume

CockADoodleDoo
I think se should be ok my friend did this and the other hens put the new ones in order! i think it really depends on how determind the broody is and how many other hens you have. Hope this helps and good luck!!
The Pearsons
Well my new chooks have arrived. They look so small next to Chips. Paula didn't have a white star so I got a coral instead, but the skyline looks a bit of alright. I plopped them into the cube after dark to a bit of a scuffle but nothing too bad. This morning Superman went out in the traditional garb of jimjams, dressing gown and wellies to open the cube door. Chips did her usual oyden act to get to the grub first. Toast is still sat firm on her eggs and the new girls haven't come out at all - yet! Chips is strutting up and down in front of the cube issuing noises that may be either encouagement or a challenge, I'm not sure which....... I have to go to Newcastle soon so may miss the first battle..... Helen in Hume
