One day I might have fewer questions!

I'm ordering hardwood chips for the run. I'm not sure what product I need for cleaning it.

I've read the Flyte So Fancy blog about keeping it clean. They recommend cleaning with two products - Net Tex Viratec-P poultry disinfectant AND Flyte Coop and Run Sanitizer.

Are disinfectants and ground sanitizers different and if so, how?

I note that Nettex also do a ground sanitizing powder. What are Stalosan F and Biodri - are they for disinfecting coops rather than runs?

Confused! Too many choices!

Ok I'm by no means an expert  But can share my experiences

I have used Stalosan F and Nettex ground sanitiser. They are both good products to use in keeping your wood chip run clean and the ground/chip freshened up :D

Things to note:- Stalosan F is cheaper and pink in colour  , so it turns the wood chip dusty pink  Smells sort of medicated. Nettex ground sanitiser is more costly, but white and has I think a pleasant fresh smell :D (Oh it's also safe to use on ground for chicks, I checked with Nettex!) Really it's down to personal choice.

I use either in my run weekly/fortnightly, sprinkle on liberally and then turnover/through the wood chip (I use a small garden fork for this)

You will find your own routine :D
