lizinsa
This is completely off topic but I'm looking for some help. I'm thinking about learning Spanish at a language school in Spain - has anyone done it and can recommend one or the places to avoid? I've spent AGES trawling the internet but they all seem alike, judging them by their website doesn't seem to be the best criteria. Muchas gracias in advance! Martin B
Don't worry this is certainly not off topic, in a place where there is no topic and is a place for miscellaneous convos! I don't know much about where to learn spanish, my dad is/was learning it, he bought something called HUGO spanish for begginers, and he downloaded it onto his ipod, and he can speak quite a bit now, which is surprising. I do Italian and French myself.
Looney
Hi, In 2000, I spent four months at the University of Zaragoza in a Spanish for foreigners course (not the exact title but near enough!). It was arranged as part of my university course but I'm sure that they took students independently. I have no idea of the costs though. It was really good as the lessons had to be taught completely in Spanish because of the range of nationalities in the class. Also, unless things have changed drastically, the cost of accommodation in the city was really reasonable. I have no idea about specific language schools but studying at a uni along with all the other students was great, plus there was a lot going on socially .... Couperman
There's no need, just learn 'Chav' instead, that way if the Spanish don't understand you just shout slowly like a retard and point, they always understand that it's universal. I of course am multi lingual I can annouce that 'I have a broken leg' in German, I can tell any Frenchman where the cat happens to be as long as it is in the garden or the living room, and I am fluent in Swahili every Friday night! I have a learn Spanish CD rom somewhere it's quite good, Berlitz I think. Having said that I can't speak Spanish so it's not that good is it! you must have to play it or something! Woudn't it be good if you learn a language 'Matrix' style. Give me Spanish lot's of Spanish! I'm rambling now aren't I. Kev.
