Valkyrie
I curse Leah Day for having one! It's suuuuuuper! As is the cost - well in excess of £6K!!!! But I can dream. Actually I need to make more use of my current flashy one. But the thought that you don't need a longarm quilting machine now is quite interesting. Olly
*rushes off to stroke her £99 John Lewis basic model* it looks fabulous but you'd have to do a heck of a lot of quilting to make it pay its way. Also, I suspect that model doesn't actually know how to use a sewing machine! I'd quite like the Alpine chalet and the roaring fire, though. Daphne
Yes, but hold the syrupy music I have to say I am astounded at what this machine can do, at one point it seemed to be sewing all by itself with no human intervention
Valkyrie
Yup, programme in your pattern and computer says yeahhhhh. I must learn how use my current one, but it is interesting. It's a new thing, wait till next year and it will be outdated!
Plum
For heavens sake what is the point of a machine that works by itself while you read a book! You don't want it you would be bored. My machine had a free embroidery module but I negotiated with the dealer and got a stitch regulator, Perspex table, walking feet and extra feet instead Mind you if I had more space that big sewing space would be good. Yeh can I have the chalet please
Valkyrie
I was sort of thinking about embroidered patches in between, on the other hand it would still be better to have a longarm because you'd be setting this one up over and over because the square is so small. So yes, you are right, you may as well do it yourself in any case.`
