mimi5
miller 30....what do you think??? The pics are clickable. I impressed myself by uploading them myself....really no help Girl on the left The 2 girls with 2 boys, 2nd girl behind the right hand boy. I think these 2 are girls, especially when I compare them to my 3 new girls (see chickens post)
mullethunter
I certainly am NOT qualified to answer (Miller30 helped me to!), but those two certainly appear to have much less well developed wattles and comb
sjp
if they were mine I'd be thinking girls were a safe bet
mimi5
Whoop, whoop 2 of Martha's babies So happy Just need miller 30 to rubber stamp it Their faces really haven't changed since the 4 week pics, but they both standout as different to the boys. Makes it all worth it So I've gone from no girls to 5 Hubby might be a tad cross when he gets back from visiting his dad in Canada Still waiting to hear back from the vets ........so won't put the little girls all together yet. Need more names now Maybe, Matilda and Minnie??? 2 of the little boys are doing strangled crows They are just 6 weeks old .......bit worried about the neighbours Well at least there is only 5 of them now!! Hatching adventures
miller30
Hi yes look like 2 little black mottled girls and what's the little brown one ? there combs looked so much redder in the other pics how strange
mimi5
Ah lovely Thank you leanne They did run around a lot before I caught them! Mark the breeder( where I got the new little girls from) said that as I had them outdoors on grass from day 1 that also affects the colouring up? Last time I hatched they didn't go outside on to grass for a couple of weeks or so, maybe 3 even......difficult to remember and also to compare This bunch have definitely matured faster than my last hatch 3 years ago. The brown chick is Polly's only surviving chick, he's a mix :dad- millefleur, mum- a mix millefleur X gold partridge. He's the smallest & last to hatch. Leanne can I ask your opinion? When, how should I intro the 3 growers & my 2 girls?
miller30
I would give it a week or two just to make sure the new girls are all healthy and then pop your 2 in at night you will have a bit of pecking to start with but make sure they have space to get away and leave them to it
