New to duck keeping - picture

Recommended Posts

If you read what I have read, it said something in the line of: we added a single blue gene and from this we derived apricot.

It doesn't actually mean you have a GM duck... Sorry... They have bred a bird without the blue gene with a bird with only one blue gene (so mom was blue, dad was khaki).

Actually adding single genes to animals in the GM method is very difficult and lengthy process... Not something people would undertake just to make a different colour duck I'm afraid.

But nonetheless looking forward to seeing pictures! I love ducklings!
