Sweetchick
Hi. I'm a new chicken keeper in Edinburgh. Just getting myself set up, and wondered if anyone had 'local knowledge' of good courses, shops etc? It's good seeing things online, but I do like to see things in real life too! We've got a house and run set up, and planning to get some girls after a brief holiday away (no point before I reckon!). Had hens as a kid, but that was a while ago! Cheers! Ain't Nobody Here
Welcome . I'm in Edinburgh too, you'd be welcome to come and have a look at my setup if you like. I get all my supplies from Drum Feeds, just off the Sheriffhall Roundabout and I got my last 3 girls from Edinburgh Chickens, near Roslin. They've just started doing boarding for hens too, which is great if you're stuck for a hen sitter. I used them for a week this summer. Sweetchick
Hi, sorry, I'm not very good at remembering to look in the forum! Glad to see there are other scottish keepers here. Ain't "Ooops, word censored!"ody here - went for it today and had a trip to Edinburgh chickens to pick up 3 new hens - Mary, nugget and nanny plum (4 year olds influence!).
