A few years ago my ES a trendy so and so was about 15 and asked me to buy him long johns I was gob smacked - visions of gramps long white ones flashed before my eyes. It appeared several of his mates had the "skins" long thermal jobs which they wore under their school trousers and for footie. So now ladies they are called skins and come in an allsortment of colours and dont have the opening for the er toilet purposes. Eeeek. My son flatly refused to wear tights for his nativity play under his Kingly robe. Unfortunately it was a tabard and his white y fronts were clearly visible from the side - luckily I made it long enough to hide back and front! Like footless tights but more synthetic and very warm I am told. Can wear for PE outside if dark colours school said. Wash well and dry quick.
