Chicken bald back

I recently swapped my bantams for 3 full sized chickens. As far as I can tell 2 out of the 3 are laying. Does anyone have a way of telling which ones are laying. I have tried watching to see who goes into the nest box but obviously i can't be watching all the time and the sneeky madams seem to wait til I'm not around.

Can you get close enough to see if they're squatting for you? Sometimes works. Or do their combs look any different?

If you really want to see you get some gel food colouring from the supermarket and mark their bums the eggs will be tinged with colour. I had to do it to see show who laid softies a couple years ago. Works well.
