AndyRoo
Did anyone else watch? I'm just in shock!!
patsylabrador
No. But I had to get along Oxford Street really fast yesterday and there were hundreds of ditherers so I played my Zombie Apocalypse game and left them all for dead. I haven't watched any Walking Dead but feel I've missed out on something good.
AndyRoo
In fairness I didn't watch it until the other year but when I started watching I tore through all the seasons in a few weeks. It's such a good show!
JellyBean2605
I don't know why I put myself through TWD all the time, it's just so horrible! Can't say I'm that gutted about Abraham but Glenn!
AndyRoo
Well, I'd read the comics, so I had my suspicions about who it might be! If it had been Maggie or Daryl, I think I'd have been beside myself!
JellyBean2605
If it had been Maggie I think I would have had to turn it off and never look back! I knew it wouldn't be Rick and hoped it wouldn't be Glenn. My husband guessed Abraham and Glenn cause he knows people who read the comics. Wonder what will happen this week, where's Carol when you need her?
AndyRoo
I also knew from the comics who died, but I wasn't sure if they were going to follow the same pattern. In the past they haven't always stuck to the comic book ways of doing things, although I was still sad to see Glenn go! I'd have been utterly beside myself if it had been Maggie! I was so pleased that Carol reappeared this episode, and I thought her reactions to the King were absolutely hysterical. The bit where she said "Are you *****ing me?" made me literally LOL. My partner turned around and said "Oh my God! That is verbatim what I'd expect you to say!" I also loved her "I have no idea what is going on in the most wonderful way!" line... that made me laugh. I am looking forward to finding out what her long-term plan is, though. I think that's what I love about her character, out of all of them, she is the one who is probably the most calculating and observant... I guess because of how abusive her relationship with her husband was, but she is always figuring out what is going on and making sure she is one step ahead! JellyBean2605
Glad Maggie is alive, was getting worried about her, especially when Rick said she was dead! Don't know what Carl and Jesus plan to do when that truck stops though
AndyRoo
Yes, I was worried about Maggie - but I was fairly confident that they wouldn't kill her off-screen. I don't know how closely the producers are planning on following the comics this year, but assuming they do then by the end of this season there will be an all out war between The Saints and The Kingdom - if I remember correctly. This year has been fairly slow so far - so I am wondering if they're going to build up to that.
JellyBean2605
That was a dull, filler episode. My husband was like "they're gonna kill her" the whole way through so rather predictable. Don't think these new guys will be taking part in the "uprising".
AndyRoo
I don't actually remember an all female faction from the comics, but I may have forgotten. I wonder if they might get involved... it would be a bit weird if they were just there for one episode. Personally I like the kind of character-centric episodes, although with the exception of the first episode it does seem that they're doing a lot of these at the moment. Who knows, maybe the entire second half of the season will be all action?
JellyBean2605
I swear to god if Negan hurts Judith I'm never watching TWD again! Ever!
AndyRoo
I was watching and saying to the OH "Carl has his bat and his back is turned, if that were me I'd have swung it at his head as hard as I could!" I'm hoping we get to see a little more of Maggie and Carol again soon, particularly Carol. She is always plotting ahead and scheming so I want to know what she is planning to do next! JellyBean2605
Well this is getting interesting, lots of smiling and head nodding! Hopefully some action next season. Bit gutted for Olivia, poor love. Can't believe Carl got off Scott free, Negan must have got distracted
