Leicester_H
Hi Just watched interesting video about making Turkisk-Style Balloon bread. Uses grams and ml which is fine but also the abbreviation YK - I assume its spoon size - but not sure which one. Can this font of all knowledge enlighten me please !? TIA, H
Alis girls
Could it be a misprint for UK? Just a thought I know its Turkish but some of the language characters are similar to Greek ones - I did ask hubby whose Cypriot (Greek ) thats the only thing he could think of. sorry
Leicester_H
Hi The recipe was something like 1/2 YK salt, 2 YK oil and cook was holding a spoon but couldn't clearly see the size. H
Geoid
I found this ingredients list for ballon bread: 4 cups of white bread flour or all purpose flour 400 ml of hand hot water 2 tsp of dry yeast 1 tbsp of vegetable oil plus extra 1 tsp of salt 2 tsp sugar 1 egg yolk
