I never thought I'd say this, but my new roo is gorgeous. He wakes up at about 4, but I look forward to hearing him. He feeds from my hand, I think he looks for me as much as I look for him. Gosh, I never thought I wanted a boy. The girls despise him at the moment, but he's just getting his new ploomage. Will post photos at some stage, but don't normally have my camera when I'm in chicken mode. Anyone else had this feeling ?

I couldn't choose between my favourite hen and my favourite cockeral......but I do have a large canvas print of the boy on my wall.... it was the best thing ever that they paired up but unfortunately I never had any chicks from them

my first cockerel a TNN, broody raised but until he got to those teenage months He would jump up onto my leg or foot when I used to sit out watching them he was a nice lad right to the end lived to about 4 years old lost him to a fox a year or two back
