The Pearsons
They were out again this morning. Toast was showing them the drinker and the chick crumbs. I was so busy watching them I forgot to watch the time and was late for work AND the director was in today but I showed her the photos and was forgiven. The Pearsons
When I got home tonight I checked the eggs that were left in the nest. Two had ben pushed to one side and were cold so I've removed them. If the others haven't hatched tomorrow and they are cold or not cheeping I'll take them out as well I think. Toast seems to be concentrating on the chicks she has which is fine by me as I didn't expect any of the eggs to hatch really! The Pearsons
There was another chick this morning.... still damp from hatching but out of the nest and making a RACKET!!!! Toast was ignoring her as the other two were out foraging. The newby ended up on its back with legs in the air so I was very naughty and picked it up and popped it back into the nest. Toast and the other chicks come back to the nest and Toast settled down on the remaining egg and the newby so I hope it survives. It looks so tiny and helpless compared to the other chicks.
