My Chooks Were On The Telly!....but....

Recommended Posts

....I missed it!

All the cockerels I've hatched have gone to live in a place called Wanlockhead, which is the highest village in Scotland. The girl that has them happens to live in the highest house in Scotland.

She had told me that a TV crew had been filming at her house and the interviewer was getting annoyed because the boys were all crowing and she asked Michelle if there was any way to keep them quiet  .

Anyway, she said she'd let me know when it was on, but missed it herself and only found out when a friend phoned her :( .

It was on The One Show last week and my friend did confirm those boys were making some racket  .

Anybody recall seeing it?

I don;t like the One Show, so never saw it - shame. :(

Did anyone else watch the programme on BBC 3 last night, about greener living? I can't remember the name of it, but it basically took a family out of their home, sent them to a sort of 'eco-camp', while their house was made greener with compost toilet and outside solar-powered shower and stuff. In the end the family bought themselves an Eglu!

Missed that one Shona. Sounds interesting. Not sure how my lot would get on with a compost loo though :? Stefan would be in there exploring....yuck! I have enough trying to stop him dipping his hands down our normal loo as it is!

We've been glued to '24' on DVD for the last two weeks. No idea what's going on in the world.

Outrageous Wasters! It was excellent, especially as the friend of the teenage daughter would not eat vegetables or anything else that came out of the ground  . I thought it was good how they became aware of what they were doing to the environment so quickly, and soon became champions of the cause. They were self employed, and even switched their salon business to organic products.

As soon as the dad mentioned that he would like chickens in the garden, I thought hmmm, wonder if it'll be an Eglu. Nice to see the Eglu they picked was pink too :D
