Poplars Posted September 3, 2007 Share Posted September 3, 2007 My older newbie, Pearl started laying last week... they had all been free ranging because of the newbies but Hetty and pearl were both laying in the nesting box... but then they both stopped on the same day and they haven't laid for 4 or 5 days... I have checked around the garden in case they have made a nest (they haven't) and I have put then in their area now so there is no where for them to lay that I can't see... does anyone know what the matter could be or are they just having a week off?? arowland17 Posted September 3, 2007 Share Posted September 3, 2007 Mine were a bit erratic at first when they started laying - one of them laid daily for about 3-4 days then had a week or so off and lays daily now with the odd day off - they're both in a rhythm, think it just takes them a while!
