Our other chicken sage, has laid . we have a blue eglu onions comb has fully grown she is 24 weeks old. Our Gingernut Ranger started laying at approximately 21 weeks (we think she was about 18 weeks when she arrived). The Miss Pepperpot, who was 16 weeks when she arived must have been about 20 weeks when she started (but she still lays smaller eggs than the Gingernut). BUT the Gold Legbar and Frisian are now nearly 27 weeks and no sign of an egg. The Gold Legbar has had a big comb for weeks now. And I have checked in the bushes in case she is hiding them. My girls are at that point where 3 are laying and 3 aren't but about a week before the lay their 1st egg they crouch when you put your hand over their backs.
