Lewis
Last summer I set half a dozen eggs, 6 Rhode Island Reds and 6 mixed Orpingtons, in my MS incubator with the idea that the RIR pullets would go to my uncle and we could keep a couple Orps. It was a disappointing hatch with only two blue Orps hatching, not sure if it was a fertility or incubator issue as the MS is normally pretty reliable... As they grew I was a little suspicious they were boys but they never showed signs of it and in January at 7 months old they still looked like scruffy teenagers... Fast forward a month when I was back at Uni they start crowing and bizarrely my mom got talking to someone who keeps Orpingtons and was looking for a cockerel Anyway, it all worked out and they've gone off to live with their own ladies! Daphne
Well I bet they will be big, beautiful, and slightly dim! My second favourite bird of all time, behind the blacks. What is that buff bird to the left of the blue orp? BO boy? Celine looks adorable😀 We are pup sitting a German pointer right now, he is so energetic its untrue, he is blessed with speed, some brains, and a lot of naughtiness! Lewis
He breeds Orps so I guess it's a Buff Orp yeah, not 100% as he sent the photo I didn't take it. Love pointers - soo bouncy!
