Luvachicken
My DD is travelling all over the place and she was at the Cook Islands the other day and sent me a photo of a resident chicken pecking at a fresh coconut half - not the bird ones filled with fatty stuff. I was wondering if our chickens could have them for a treat or if it was actually not very good for them. I like to vary the things my girls have and a hanging coconut half could be a great distraction from pecking. What do you think ?
The Dogmother
I'd say that it's too fatty TBH. I try to avoid giving them too much which detracts from the balance of nutrients in their layers feed.
