Chookchat
Don't know if anyone else has noticed a decline in the amount of food their hens are eating.Mine don't seem to be very eager to eat any thing,I have four bantams. They seem well and happy enough with no obvious problems, none are laying and all are over 7 years old with one coming up to 11. Any comments are welcome. Patricia W
It’s a natural process I think, At that age they will be reducing laying or stopping altogether as yours have done. My bantams generally stop around 8 then have a long retirement before going to the Cube in the sky aged about 11. They don’t eat so much if they’re not laying. Mine still love mealworms and treats though! Edited February 16, 2020 by Patricia W
