Ain't Nobody Here
After only 2 weeks and 2 days we got our first egg today - and in the nest box, too! Don't know who laid it yet though. Started shrieking but then remembered that neighbours on one side don't know about hens yet - luckily OH arrived home just then so I could share the moment. Found a big watery white splat on the patio yesterday - was that an egg attempt? It's only 42g so it'll be one mouthful each of fried egg! It's so exciting! Can't wait to tell everyone! Shirl
It's only 42g so it'll be one mouthful each of fried egg! That's the biggest my George has laid. When she lays a 42g egg I tell her how clever she is Mind you she is only a bantam,
