All that simpering put me off too
I agree.....she is too OTT with it. Embarrassing in a woman who won't see 40 again.

The book jumped into my trolley when I was at the supermarket last week.

I've made the chocolate mousse which was an expensive disaster as it was too strong and too dense for us as I have mentioned elsewhere......with this recipe I am not sure about the flavour of the dressing, but I can see that with a bit of judicious tweaking it could be very nice.

I suppose that is how recipes evolve.

You would think that a recipe in a book, by a celebrity chef, which has also been featured on TV wouldn't need any tweaking except for personal taste - seasoning etc :?

I wouldn't have been impressed.

Jamie Olivers new book is great by the way, & I have cooked 3 gorgeous things from it already :P

I've got that one too. It looks nice, but I haven't tried anything yet.

I can't resist a recipe book. The family are going potty as they were going to get me them for Christmas.

Not always the case I find Sarah

I am quite fussy with strong flavours and tend to avoid things with chocolate in for that reason it is always too rich for me but I can make things myself to eat

Ditto with things like sesame oil I just find it too strong but garlic and chilli I always put in at least twice as much coz I just adore it - me fickle - never :oops::oops::lol::lol::lol:

We have so many recipe books in our house. We are blessed with several really good charity book shops around here and I used to buy BBC Good Food magazine every month but I have found I get more pleasure for a similar amount of money buying and reading recipe books but I do find them very difficult to part with
