herecomethegirls
So we have put the Eglu Go Up together, filled the run with hardwood chips, and it’s all ready for the chicks. They’re almost 7 weeks old. Is that too young to go outside? Do they need to stay in one section for a period of time before they have free run of the place? Cat tails
7 weeks might be a tad young to go out. They probably will have some trouble going up the stairs. They don’t need heat and such anymore, but will have some trouble realising the house is where you sleep and getting up the ladder. So do be prepared having to crawl into the run to fish them out and put them into the house at night. 1
mullethunter
I’d have mine out at this time of year at 7 weeks - just make sure they don’t get wet. Also I agree with everything Cattails said about getting up the ladder.
