Couperwife
My friend is having a coffee morning for her charity (the katie trust - the same one I did the Great North Run for) and she asked me if I would make her something so I made her some Slimming world Brownies - not tried them yet, but they smell gorgeous. I though I'd post this as so many of us seem to be on some weight loss plan or other (I know a few have mentioned Slimming World ) Chocolate and Apricot Brownies (but I used Raisins - cos I got a big bag and the chooks done seem to like them) makes 24. Vege takes about 25 mins 3 1/2oz (100g) low fat spread 8 level tbsp drinking chocolate powder 4 tbsp artificial sweetner 2 1/2 oz (71g) caster sugar 3 eggs 3 1/2 oz (100g) self raising flour 1 tsp baking powderjavascript:emoticon(':D') 9oz (255g) dried apricots 1 tsp vanilla essence preheat oven to 180 deg C/350 deg F line a 12 x 8 inch baking tin with baking parchment melt the spread in a pan remove from the heat and stir in the drinking chocolate, sweetener and sugar. add eggs and whisk until blended sift in the flour and baking powder and stir. chop the apricots and add them to the mixture with the vanilla essence. mix pour into the tin and bake for about 20 minutes until just set. (it will firm up as it cools) while still warm turn onto a board and chop into 24 brownies Eat 4 syns per brownie on green and original. Couperwife
I actually didnt take these to the coffee morning they needed a little longer cooking and were still a bit soft on the inside and they didnt look good enough to sell which actually means that I can eat them all (I'm gonna take them to my slimming world class and let others try them) cathy x
