Cate in NZ
I've lost my pedometer. We've been invited to a birthday party in a very nice London hotel, so yesterday I decided to go and buy a dress suitable for the party, hoping that I'd pick up something in the sales. I swear I walked miles around Bluewater, must have tried on 30 dresses and couldn't find anything that I liked, so depressing. Consoled myself with the fact that I'd walked so much that I must have clocked up a great many steps, but when I went to check the pedometer it'd gone. It must have dropped out of my pocket in one of those changing rooms. I'll keep walking though, I was doing fairly well, 8-9000 most days, less on wednesday when I was at work all day and came home too exhausted to move, but was expecting to easily top the 10 on friday and the weekend. I'll never know now though
Guest
Bad luck KateA Maybe you can get another one? I'm pleased to say I have managed 10000 today, partly by parking the car a little away from the town centre and then walking in. I don't often manage 10, so I'm pleased. Aylana
I got 1103 steps yesterday and about 7000 of those were after I went on my night out. Its a shame that all the alcohol I drank probably outweighed the benefits of walking and dancing and being stood up all night! KateA, if you are a member of your local freecycle group you could request a pedometer on there. I bet there are loads of people who have them sitting unused in drawers!! www.freecycle.org for those who don't know what I am talking about. Nicola H
Well done Aylana, so all that jigging about on the dance floor is good for you and enjoyable.....................
The Dogmother
I got a pedometer in millets yesterday - unfortunately it was pink (well only a little bit), but it came with a free torch, was reduced to half price AND at least £1 from the purchase goes to the Breast Cancer Campaign. Just have to sit down and read the destructions now

Popcorn
Oh gosh, well I felt as though I'd done 10,000 steps on Saturday, as I certainly slept well on Saturday night, and feet were really tired and achey.....but I'd only done 5,000.... (I do have a good excuse though )
buffie
After my Lottie problems we did manage 2 good walks yesterday but didn't wear the pedometer so no idea of steps but it would have been over the 10000 so I will pop on the ped today and continue. Keep in up BBx
The Dogmother
Well, I've got the PINK thing on today, and have done 4494 steps so far today (11.21am), so on track for 10,000 today. Should we be aiming for that or just rying to do mroe than usual? I will zero it before I go to circuit training tonight so that I can see how many steps I do there - I can hazard a guess that it is a lot. Gina, walking is great exercise when you're preggers, just don't overdo it.

The Dogmother
11,419 steps yesterday, and that was a 'normal' day. I'm wearing it again today, but might just keep it for when I'm running otherwise.
Popcorn
You can stop rubbing it in now Clare ( )
The Dogmother
I'm going to stop wearing it at work now. I have a good idea of the average steps that I do, although I am stunned that that figure converts into so few miles - feels like more I will wear it for running though as I can program it to announce mileage, which is very handy as I can never tell how far I have run. Guest
I did nearly 12,000 yesterday but not so much today with eglu travels etc but it's going great guns. BBx
The Dogmother
That's briliant Birthday Buffie! I did 13443 today, so I guess that I would average about 10500 per day. They are selling pedometers in Tesco, really cheap. They were marked at £4, but when I got to the checkout, it was just £2.37!!!
Aylana
Well done Buffy and Clare! I did 8000 yesterday and just over 10000 the day before. Need to keep it up to around those levels and not drop back to the 3000-4000's I was doing in the days before that!
Guest
Well done everyone. I only managed 6000 yesterday but I'm hoping to do better today.

So - will try and get an improvement throughout the week little by little, and especially at the weekend. How's everyone else doing
