Poorly chicken

Hello, we have our new chickens and an eglu go up.. our chookies are only about 9weeks old ish.  I put the pullet mix into the omlet food container and put the lid on. I am concerned that they can't quite reach the food? Too deep or they aren't quite big enough to reach it. The container is down low  Or am I being an overly worried chicken mum?

If they are still very young and small, they might struggle reaching the food. I used to put a brick in front of it, to help them. 
A different type of feeder might be better suitable.

We used one of the plastic chick feeders with the little feeder ports all around it when my chicks were small.

only mine was red not green.

They only started to use a Grub once they were about 16 weeks old.

 

We put them a a level that they could reach but not fill it up with woodchips.
