I was a bit sad today to realise that my lovely Coral has had both wings clipped . I asked the poultry centre to wing clip the hens when we selected them but for whatever reason she had obviously already been done. I'm sure she hasn't noticed but I feel a bit sad. She has a fantastic tail, though, which sort of makes up for it! The other two explored the top of the run but still none of them were brave enough to go further than about 1 metre from the run! I'm a bit worried by the fact they seem very interested in the large field just behind my garden that they can see through my (suddenly not looking tall enough) fence The bit they are on at the back of the garden was previously waiting to have time spent on it so was membrane, mulch and shrubs. They have yet to explore the rest of the garden! Here are a couple of pics of the garden in the height of summer.
