Tanya
I have a bullied millefleur leghorn hen, beautiful colour but she is bottom of the pecking order for sure. We have survived drawn blood and a couple of isolation periods. Through all this she happily lays eggs and eats and drinks. Subsequently she has now lost a ring of feathers around her tail and I can see a fair but of skin which looks really bright pink/red. Is this just a cold chicken? The weather is freezing after all. Advice would be appreciated please 😀
Cat tails
Chicken skin is normally… well chicken skin coloured! Red skin indicates sore skin. Might well she is over pruning. You can sudo cream to calm her skin a bit.
