The white pasty material droppings is URIC ACID excreted with the poo. This is the case for all birds as far as I am aware; their nitrogen waste is excreted as uric acid (always dangerous to say all as someone will know better and there will be exceptions I'm sure - b****y Bill Oddie will crop up and tell us all about it!).
