Ladylucan
How long does it take the chooks to get used to the ladder, I know its early days yet. ( 2 days), but i feel sorry for them as its soo cold, and they have a nice warm house to look at but cant get anywhere near.... In the morning a few of them slide out, and a couple hop, the rest fly, I know they will get used to it, but just wondered how long it took everyone else, xx
feemcg
Mine still flap and stumble their way up after several months - it always looks really awkward for them. I feel the ladder should be rubberized or ribbed in some way to give better grip.
Ain't Nobody Here
Don't have a cube so have no experience of this, but did someone on the forum not suggest putting rubber grippy stuff on the rungs? Stuff for wooden stairs, perhaps?
feemcg
I think someone tried the pipe insulation stuff but the chooks ended up eating it

Snowy
I had to post mine in on the first night, but after that they all found their way in.
nicki9
my oldies and newbies all mastered it by the second day. The newbies more by necessity as they ran/flew from evil clucking Tikka.
