Has anyone had any experience with buff orpington bantams

Recommended Posts

A large fowl orpington egg is surprisingly small!  I'd say medium, in the usual egg scale.  Bantam eggs are smaller again, but not tiny.  BO bantams are adorable little hens, very prone to going broody and good mums, if you are still interested in doing that.  They are better than LF as mums, because a LF hen is so huge she is often quite clumsy.  In my experience, the bantams are good hens to keep, as long as you don't mind the broodiness, and the buffs are particularly pretty.
