chickenlover
what a start to the new year! I woke up this morning to 2 work men in my garden, digging up my path (curtesy of the council) after many cups of tea , i have perswaded them to do more than they have been contracted to do but all thanks must go to my chickens as they were so nice and friendly the work men LOVED them!!! So hopefully by monday i will have a wonderfull, safe garden for the girls to roam in........wonder if i could get the girls to walk up and down the wet cement and keep there prints there forever?? and dont fret i would wash their feet imidiatly after
chelsea
thats the way - lots of tea and they'll do anything!!! Everyone has workmen who loves chickens. We had a plumber in before Christmas and he wasnt the slightest bit interested - even when my maran was following him everytime he went out to his little van!!! Richard
When we had a couple of brickies round they adored my girls. One of them had chickens of his own .... and ducks! I used to find them feeding the girls bits of their baggin (packup or whatever - don't start that thread again!).
Egluntyne
Give 'em half a dozen eggs apiece and they might build you a patio.
Goosey Lucy
My window cleaner loves the girls and is very careful to close the gate so they can't escape. Chicken prints sound a great idea, perhaps you could add their names and a date too?
Janty
Our next door neighbours are having an extension built. I think that their builders spend all their time watching the chickens. They asked me what I had in the run before Christmas. Before I could answer, one of the builders said, 'I know that those two are chickens but what are the other things?' When I replied that they too were chickens but that they were breeds with feathery legs, I was asked were they real ones!!!

I must admit I didn't realise there were so many breeds until I owned chickens myself!
