craftyhunnypie
I've got to take my car in for it's 1 month check in Northwich. Think it only takes half an hour, but going to look round Northwich after. Anywhere I should definitely take a look? Shops I mean. ubereglu
Ooh, I can't remember the shops there. But it's a nice place to visit. We went on holiday to a place near Chester a couple of years ago and it was great!
UkButton
We had a night out up there once due to a motorsport event they hold annually. Quote of the century when asked "is there a night club to go to?" the response was "nah, we smashed our last one up!" Suffice to say we didn't go back. Not sure about the shops though. Krysia
Were are you taking it? There is nothitng special in Northwich itself to be honest just the usual high astreet names. Bratts kitchen shop is quite nice but nothing otu of this world. I don't know where in cheshire you are coming from but Blakemere craft centre is well worth a visit on the A556 towards Chester. (Although the road works might make it a nightmre) Re nightclubs there is now another one in the middle of town but it's not great I have only been one, Having said that I'd rather stay in with a bottle of wine. Let us know what you do / see.
Krysia
oh and the bike racing event is the 'Thundersprint' Well worth a visit. For shopping I would rather do #chester but Northwich has everything you need. Can you tell I grew up there and still live only 8 miles away so visit regularly. Janty
My family used to live in Cheshire. When I got my first teaching job, my Mum asked where the nearest town was to the place where I would be teaching. I replied, 'Norwich'. Mum was really happy. I was a bit put out as I thought that she was happy that I was going to be moving away. Turned out she thought I had said Northwich and she was happy that I would still be local. Poor Mum.
