JoshuaEdwards
My chickens were laying 2/3 eggs daily between them. From about the 23rd they mabe have been laying 1 between them and some days none . Can anyone help me and tell me why they might be doing this Josh
Christian
Maybe they are just taking a break for a few days? I'm sure there is nothing to worry about
Chicken Licken
Make sure they have grit available to them. Lots of food and water, they are probably just having a couple of days off - especially if they are new to laying - it will take a few weeks to settle into a routine. Egluntyne
Don't overdo it with the treats. Just keep them on pellets and maybe one treat in the afternoon to lure them back into the run for a few days. Pellets provide optimum nutrition for egg laying, and they might not be getting that if they are having lots of other stuff too. Are you sure they are not laying under a bush in the garden. That has happened to a few people on the forum.
Shirl
Or eating them! I checked out the bushes and couldn't find any then caught one eating an egg today
peanut12
are they moulting? it is apparently common for egg production to drop as it takes a lot out of them. One of ours looks like a nutter at the moment and eggs are coming every other day, but the new feathers are coming through. Someone on here said feeding them tuna is a good idea.
