Tara123
Does anyone feed there chooks couscous? As I have a couple of packets of Sammy's roast garlic and olive oil in the cupboard that need to be used up. Just a bit worried about the flavourings, does it need to be plain? Many thanks Tara
nicki9
Chickens will eat just about anything, just make sure it is not in vast quantities and as a supplement, not instead of layers pellets/mash. I can't see the cous cous would do them any harm, pre-soaked though, so it doesn't swell inside them.
Tara123
Only going to give it as a treat for them and so I can use it up instead of it going into the bin Looked at the ingredients and it contains sea salt, the sodium levels per 100g are 0.43g, does that sound to salty for them? Snowy
Once it's soaked, try giving it a rinse, and maybe don't give it all at once! I think they will love it!
Eyren
Mine love cooked couscous, plain or flavoured - though there's not usually a lot left! It makes a nice occasional treat, same as anything else chicken-edible from your leftovers.
