garethoccasionally
Is it possible to keep both chickens and rabbits in the same run? I am making an enclosed covered run 1.8mx2.4mx1.8m high on a paving slab base with 3" of bark chippings for our eglu and three chooks. Can I put our two rabbits in the same run in their own hutch, or will there be issues of disease, contamination, or chooks living off rabbit droppings?? Can anyone advise. Thanks
Egluntyne
I wouldn't....they won't get on. They will all end up stressed and will probably fight.
jomaxsmith
chooks living off rabbit droppings More like chooks living off rabbit flesh Hens are evil and like to dominate/eat anything they consider inferior so I wouldn't risk it! Jo Neither would I. The rabbits wouldn't stand a chance.
chelsea
my chickens peck my big german shepherd dog, so they arent scared of much. A little fluffy bunny would be doomed!
