MrandMrsG Posted February 9, 2008 Share Posted February 9, 2008 amazed today - I took the bull by the horns as it were and decided to let the chooks out into the garden along with my dogs. I needed to clean out the eglu, so I was outside anyway to keep an eye on things Blue my Flat coated Retriever thought that all his lotteries had come in at once and took a swip at one of my chooks, but after a firm talking to he was brilliant. He was so funny because every where I went to do certain things around the garden he and my chooks followed me, I felt like the Pied Piper - The Westie Angus on the other hand, couldn't have given 2 figs and just enjoyed lying the gorgeous sunshine! It will be a long time before I fully trust my fury friends, but I was thrilled that it all went so well. x Rosie xx PS Number 5 egg arrive today, we're so thrilled. I don't have dogs myself, but it seems that they're generally OK as long as you don't leave them alone with the chickens, just in case the canine killer instinct rears its ugly head.
