TAJ
I thinks these are probably from the Light Sussex - 1st egg yesterday 2nd today - I think they are hers as she is older and I think the Bluebelle & black rock should have darker eggs - but I haven't seen any others to be able to compare. Cinnamon
My Light Sussex lays very pale beige eggs. Have a look on my post '7 out of 7', & there is a picture of Ferns egg on the rack - looks to be about that colour
Martin B
I have 2 of the same type of hybrids and they lay totally different eggs so it may be unclear until you catch them in the act.
moochoo
My Bluebelle ( Mendlesham blue) lays eggs that look like that. If I remember rightly, Lily who was a Light Sussex laid cream eggs. It's worth you waiting to see who the culprits are and then you'll know for certain.
Chili
Hi there I have a Light Sussex but her eggs are much paler than those in your picture. If only I could get her to lay in the nest box and not on the lawn, the wall, in the dust bath, in the run.......... Chili xx
CatsCube
confusing isnt it, my bluebelle and my previous bluebelle lay eggs a lot paler, they look a pinky white. I think a lot will depend on the breeder. I find a tell tale sign is is you see them loitering around the house and going in and out a lot.
