Anyone tried MBT's?

Recommended Posts

I fell over Charlie's suitcase - it was on the landing partially blocking my bedroom door and in the dark i miss judge where the bag was and I caught my foot on the wheels :roll: so much for not turning the landing light on so I didn't wake up the children

It's not the wearing the MBTs that's the problem - it's more the fact that I won't be able to have them fitted this week because my foot is still very swollen and it's very painful if I touch my toe :(:(

Would these be any good for me?

15 years ago I had my feet operated on to remove my bunions. Both big toes were broken and re-aligned and the outer part of bone was removed. This is a genetic fault in my family, I have always worn 'proper' shoes no matter how unfashioable at school :(

My feet are still broad to say the least and I struggle to find comfy shoes. I am not athletic and don't run for anything, not even a bus (that's what taxis were invented for :D )

My feet are a lot better than they used to be but I am now finding that they get quite sore on the ball of my foot.

Would these do anything to help that?

I also have problems with a bad back, my osteopath says my posture is good but my pelvis regularly seems to shift out of alignment.

Any thoughts?

Pam: you have my total sympathy. I broke a toe on holiday once, all I could do was sit by the bar for a couple of days... :)

You'd best try some on before you decide Lucy. I understand that they are sold in a sports shop in Cov, but don't knwo which one (sorry, not much help) Personally, I'd be happier getting them properly fitted and trying them out on a treadmill before spending all that money. I know it's a bit of a schlep down the M40, but why not try a trip to Helen at Tenpoint if you can't find anything nearer.

I find the sandals more comfy than the trainers myself.

They fit them in the Revital wholefood shop in Stratford as well.

I saw that they sold them there, but didn't know that they did fitting too. Lucy, it really helps if they have a treadmill as they can watch you moving and correct your gait and posture as you go. Depending on your posture and the strength of your core muscles, some people find them hard to stand up in, let alone walk; Phil's sister found them really hard work at first.
